Silicone is a new polymer elastomer of excellent resistance to temperature, which is allowed within -40℃~200℃. It features extremely good resilience, the deformation of which is no more than 50 percent with pressure applied for 48 hours at 200℃. Silicone rubber sheeting is able to withstand the harsh disinfection conditions for many times. The breakdown voltage of silicone is 20-25KV/mm. Silicone sheeting is resistant to ozone, ultraviolet, and radiation. Some special silicones are designed to be resistant to oil.
